December Missions ~ Angel Tree / Shepherd’s Fund
The hands-on mission project for December is the Angel Tree and the financial project is the Shepherd’s Fund.
The Angel Tree ornaments are available at St. Paul and can be found hanging on the Christmas Angel Tree in the narthex! The ornaments represent individual children and adults for whom you can provide a gift this Christmas. To participate, please select an angel ornament off the tree and please be sure to sign the sheet next to the tree with your name by the corresponding code which matches the code on the back of the ornament you have chosen. Purchase a gift based on the suggestions listed on the back side of the angel ornament. Gift purchases should be approximately $25. Following the instructions on the back of the ornament, wrap the gift (for the children) OR place gifts in a gift bag (for the adult Nursing Home residents). Please be sure to place the angel ornament with the gift and return the gifts to the church on or before December 12th for the adult Nursing Home residents; or on or before December 16th for the children at Head Start and Highland Park Elementary.
The Shepherd’s Fund is the financial project for December. The Shepherd’s Fund is an on-going fund which is used throughout the year to help those seeking assistance, either from those within our congregation or outside our church family. You may place your financial gifts in the yellow mission envelope in the pew rack. Please write on the monthly mission line, “Shepherd’s Fund”.
