First, the UMW would like to thank everyone who helped with the recent rummage sale. It was a success, even though the weather didn’t cooperate on Saturday. We had a good Friday and expected lots more people to visit Saturday morning for the 1/2 price sale – until the snow and ice started falling! Then those who signed up to help with transporting the left-over items to the Salvation Army arrived to help, along with several who did not sign up. We had plenty of help so we loaded the church bus and the group took everything in one load. Everything was cleaned up, vacuumed, chairs and tables put away, and everything was ready for Sunday morning. Thank you all so very much! The last I heard, the receipts from the Bake Sale were $360.50, Rummage Sale proceeds were $1,229.36 making the total $1,589,86.
