September 16 or 17: Breakthrough Prayer Initiative in Indianapolis at St. Luke’s UMC on the 16th, 9-2:00 p.m.; OR in Terre Haute at Northside Community UMC on the 17th, 2-7:00 p.m. A workshop led by Rev. Sue Nilson Kibbey, nationally known speaker, consultant, and author. She leads congregations through the initiative to breakthrough one of the barriers keeping churches from fulfilling God’s will for them. Registration requirements: Any church interested in attending agrees to bring a team of AT LEAST 6 persons that MUST INCLUDE THE SENIOR PASTOR. September 16: Disciples Making Disciples Training from Dr. Steve Manskar, Director of Wesleyan Leadership for Discipleship Ministries of the UMC. He has developed a very simple, practical, modernized process for implementing Wesley’s disciple-making process for the 21st Century. Registration deadline is September 13th. Cost is $10.00. October 7: Laity Day with the Bishop in Indianapolis. A day for all lay persons in the church to further develop in their leadership, worship & grow in their faith, and connect with other laity. Free, optional $10 lunch. Registration deadline is September 23rd. Go to: www.inumc.org/laityday17.
