Backpack Giveaway Event

We are thrilled to be partnering with The Salvation Army this year as the Backpack Giveaway distribution center on the west side of Bloomington on August 2nd!

Each year this program has given away approximately 500 backpacks so area children can head back to school feeling confident and ready to learn. The goal this year is to distribute 600 backpacks!

In June, our Mission of the Month was for the Backpack Giveaway. Your financial gifts will help to purchase supplies to complete the kits. If you’d like to donate specific supplies needed, you may grab a shopping list from bulletin board #3 at the church. Just place your donations in the designated box under the bulletin board on or before July 31st.

VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME ON DISTRIBUTION DAY!

On Wednesday, August 2nd from 4:00-7:00 p.m., we seek St. Paul helpers to assist with distribution of the backpacks to area children and families. Save the date NOW! If interested, sign-up on the sheet on bulletin board #2 at the church. You will be contacted in the coming weeks with more details regarding the event!
