The Mission of the Month for July is for the Hospice House of Bloomington which opened in 2012. It is a 12-bed in patient facility designed solely for the use of patients and families enrolled in the hospice program. The facility has 10,000 square feet with common areas which allow families and friends to gather, including a kitchen, dining room, living room, counseling/meditation area, and a children’s playroom. Families and friends are encouraged to spend as much time as they’d like with their loved one.
The Hospice House is a place that feels like home but has the essential resources to care for patients with comfort and compassion in life’s final days. The goal is to eliminate some of the stress and worry, taking care of day-to-day needs so that families can focus on enjoying meaningful time together.
Your donations will go toward the care and nurturing of not only the patients, but their families serving as caregivers throughout the days and nights. You may use the envelopes found in the pew racks at the church for your gifts. Please write ‘Hospice House’ on the monthly mission line of the mission envelope or your offering envelope.
